Cockroaches are not poisonous because they don’t have any venom. Still, some species can bite you and you can easily get infected from the dirt the roaches carry. These insects prefer areas that harbor different kinds of bacteria and commonly serve as disease carriers. Generally, cockroaches are not aggressive, it’s much simpler for them to flee when they meet you. Biting in this case means intense hunger.
The main danger in the case of cockroaches is their dirtiness. Besides carrying germs on their bodies, they leave them in droppings and skin sheds. Roaches are not primary for the diseases, but play supplementary role in spreading salmonellosis, cholera, dysentery, typhoid fever, gastroenteritis or giardia.
